WALTER WIGAND DOESN'T DO
HALF-MEASURES.
There's a stretch of the Reeperbahn where the neon signs blur together and the music never stops. Somewhere in the middle of that chaos, you'll find Walter Wigand — voice actor who gave German life to anime heroes and TV royalty, music producer who splits his soul between Hamburg and Havana, and the kind of person NDR once called "the most passionate music producer in the world."
He's the voice behind Rocko's Modern Life, Walker Texas Ranger, Naruto Shippuden, and The Crown — in German, obviously. He produced music in Cuba that sounded like nothing else on earth. He starred in Germany's first erotic soap opera. He became an internet legend through a documentary about a Penny supermarket.
If you've heard "The World is GaGa Ga" — the track he recorded in Havana in 2011 that blew up a decade later when millions of people discovered it through SPIEGEL TV — then you already know. If you haven't heard it yet: what are you doing here? Scroll down. Press play. You're welcome.
HIT PLAY.
GaGa Ga
THE VOICE BEHIND THE SCREEN
He gives them life. In German, obviously.
IN THE WILD
Walter doesn't chase press. Press chases Walter.
To some he's a visionary. To others he's completely insane. He's probably both. And he wouldn't have it any other way.
FOLLOW THE MADNESS
Walter Wigand left us in 2025.
Kiez Archives is a project built in his honour — to make sure the music doesn't stop, the stories keep being told, and the world finally hears what the Kiez always knew.
This is not a record label. This is an act of love.
No paywalls. No monetization. No corporate anything.
Just Walter's music, free forever, for anyone who'll listen.
